28th Annual Grand Rapids Pride Festival Includes Performances by Steve Grand, Alex Newell, and Headliner Deborah Cox

The 28th annual Grand Rapids Pride Festival, hosted by the Grand Rapids Pride Center , will take place the weekend of June 16th-19th, 2016 in Grand Rapids, MI. Offering adult-only and family-friendly entertainment options, this year’s Pride festival is slated to be the largest one in its history.

“We’re beyond excited about the series of events that we have planned for this year’s festival, especially Saturday’s concert featuring nationally renowned acts,” says Mike Hemmingsen, President of the Grand Rapids Pride Center. “It is exciting to see the organization and larger community heading in such a positive direction, and we plan to demonstrate this progress throughout the festival.”

For the second year, the Grand Rapids Pride Center will honor two recipients with awards. The Milt Lennox Community Award will be given to Ed Ladner for his years of service to the community and the Pride Award will be given to Arbor Circle for their involvement and participation in the Safe and Supported program, launched earlier in 2016.
