Healthy Families

Arbor Circle’s Healthy Families program gives expecting mothers and fathers of young children under the age of three the support and encouragement they need to help their baby be healthier, safer and better prepared for a lifetime of learning.

How it works

Parents receive encouragement from parent coaches over the phone, or choose to have staff trained in early childhood development provide education, support and training right in their home. Healthy Families also provides helpful brochures, online resources, and a survey known as the Ages and Stages Questionnaire to make sure children are on-track and making good progress. Healthy Families is about strengthening the bonds between parent and child. Services include:

  • In-home family support and parent education
  • Skill building services using the families strengths, needs and concerns
  • Assess and develop a plan with the family to meet the child’s health and developmental needs
  • Help with teaching about, playing with and enjoying their child, links to community resources and adjusting to becoming a new parent.
