arbor circle president & ceo Jack Greenfield announces retirement
After 13 years of dedicated leadership as Arbor Circle’s President & CEO, Jack Greenfield has announced his retirement, effective September 13, 2019. Arbor Circle’s Board has appointed Kristin Gietzen, current Vice President & COO, as Greenfield’s successor, the organization’s fourth President & CEO.
Greenfield has served the community through Arbor Circle and its predecessor organizations since 1987 and has worked in many areas of behavioral health over the last 45 years. He joins a distinguished group of past Arbor Circle Presidents, Gerald DeRuiter and Mary Alice Williams, both of whom remained active community leaders following their presidency.
Gietzen and Greenfield have worked side-by-side in leadership roles at Arbor Circle for 20 years, promoting a smooth transition process in the coming months. The position of Vice President & COO will be filled by Susan Sheppard, Arbor Circle’s current Performance Improvement Director.
“The Board is grateful that we have a depth of talent at Arbor Circle that allows us to transition experienced leaders into new roles, and to have someone of Kristin’s skill and experience to lead our organization’s culture, values, and mission into the future,” said Nancy Miller, Board Chair.
As Arbor Circle staff and community partners say farewell to Greenfield, they look forward to continuing progress on the work that he has been instrumental in supporting over the years.
A community open house to celebrate Greenfield’s retirement will be held on the evening of August 29.
