ottawa SCAN council announces logo competition

The Ottawa County Stop Child Abuse and Neglect (SCAN) Council have announced they will be holding a competition for their new logo design. The competition is open to all ages and all interested individuals and organizations are encouraged to submit their original design.

Those interested should complete an online interest form by December 1, which can be located at www.arborcircle.org/logocompetition. The form collects contact information that will be used to communicate with participants throughout the competition. The SCAN council will provide relevant content and logo requirements to all potential participants who express interest by completing the form.

Original logo design submissions are due to the SCAN council by February 1, 2020. Upon reviewing the submissions, the council will select the top five designs and call for a community vote to decide on the winning logo design. The top three logos will receive a gift card ($100, $50, $25) and recognition at the annual Ottawa County Pinwheel Garden Campaign Kickoff. The winners will be notified by April 1, 2020 and the winning logo will be revealed at the Child Abuse Prevention Month kickoff event in April. The winning logo will also be published on SCAN and Arbor Circle’s social media pages.

All participants who submit an original logo design during the competition will receive a free pinwheel garden from the SCAN council during the month of April 2020. The pinwheel is recognized as the national symbol for child abuse prevention, and represents the happy, carefree childhoods all children deserve.
