SCAN (Stop Child Abuse and Neglect Council) and Arbor Circle are offering monthly training opportunities to increase knowledge and skills to strengthen families and prevent child maltreatment.

Topic: Considering ACEs in your practice & supporting clients in building Resilience
Description: The Adverse Childhood Experience (ACEs) study is one of the greatest public health discoveries of our time and can help us understand “It’s not what’s wrong with us, but what happened to us. Join us to learn what you can do in your practice to address ACEs and toxic stress and build resilience.
Who should attend: human service professionals, educators, health care providers, and interested community members.
Social Work and MCBAP CEUs available for $8. The training is free for those who do not need CEUs. The CEU fee is refundable if cancelled within two days of the event minus the eventbrite fee. Scholarships available for those who live and work in Ottawa county. Please email swilliams@arborcircle.org to request a scholarship.
