SCAN is offering monthly training opportunities to increase knowledge and skills to strengthen families and prevent child maltreatment.

Topic: Intro to Youth Thrive Protective and Promotive Factors
Youth Thrive Protective and Promotive Factors is an evidence-based framework for working with youth to mitigate trauma and ACES. There are 5 factors: Adolescent Development, Cognitive and Social Emotional Development, Social Connections, Concrete Supports in times of need, and Resilience.
• Participants will be able to identify the Youth Thrive Protective and Promotive Factors
• Participants will be able to articulate the importance of relationships in achieving program outcomes and how they can utilize this technique in their everyday practice
• Participants will be able to identify and describe how they can implement the Youth Thrive Protective and Promotive factors in their everyday practice
Who should attend: human service professionals, educators, interested community members, anyone who works with youth.
Social Work and MCBAP CEUs available for $8. The training is free for those who do not need CEUs. The CEU fee is refundable if cancelled within two days of the event minus the eventbrite fee.
