SUMMARY:growing together: a circle of somebody-ness
DESCRIPTION:Join Arbor Circle for Growing Together: A Circle of Somebody-ness. This free annual community event honors the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and celebrates the power of connection\, service\, and community. \n\n\n\nThis year’s keynote\, presented by Dr. Anissa Eddie\, PhD\, MSW\, will focus on healthy racial identity development in early childhood – for all children\, not only children of color. The primary resource is Talking to Kids About Race: An Introductory Guide to Supporting Healthy Ethnic-Racial Identity Development in Early Childhood (Second Edition)\, which draws on Dr. Eddie’s research. \n\n\n\nThe book’s central message: talking to children about race early supports healthy identity development and inclusive mindsets. \n\n\n\nRegister Now\n\n\n\nEach year\, Growing Together brings neighbors\, community partners\, volunteers\, supporters\, and families together for an evening of learning\, reflection\, and inspiration.
