give a gift with impact this holiday season

This holiday season, you can directly help one of our client families through the Adopt a Family program. 90% of Arbor Circle’s client families earn less than $25,000 per year. These families have to make hard choices, such as buying food vs making a rent payment. They need groceries, clothing, and household essentials throughout the year, and especially during the holidays.

Through the Adopt a Family program, you can sponsor one of our client families who are struggling. When you sign up, you will be specially matched with a family based on size, desired level of participation and a few other factors. You will receive a profile of the family and a list of needs, wants and big wishes. How much you spend is up to you.

Another option is to Adopt a Program. In this case, you would be given a wish list from one of our programs for items that can be used to support program activities throughout the year. This might include items such as children’s books and art supplies for our early childhood services; board games and sports equipment for our youth shelter; or journals and bus passes for those in our recovery services.

Support Arbor Circle’s mission through your service:

  • Total Trek Quest (TTQ): TTQ is a fun, interactive after-school program offered at local elementary schools in the fall and spring. The program is powered by volunteer coaches who can commit to 1-2 practices a week during the 9-week season. Learn more.
  • Child Welfare Support: Our child welfare team works to advocate for and support children in the foster care system due to abuse or neglect. We are always looking for volunteers who are able to become foster parents or Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) to give a voice to these children. Learn more.
  • Host Home Program: The Host Home program is powered by caring adult volunteers who are willing to open their homes to youth, ages 18-20, who are experiencing homelessness. Learn more.
  • Additional Involvement: We have opportunities to serve on event committees or volunteer at community outreach events, and we are always open to speaking to those interested in Board Leadership. Learn more.
