Building Relationships and Making Informed Recommendations for Foster Children

CASA are trained volunteers who champion for children in foster care throughout the entire court process. Our team at Arbor Circle works to recruit, train, and support CASA volunteers in Ottawa County. Through regular meetings with the child, our volunteers build a relationship to understand their needs. The CASA volunteer compiles information from attorneys, social workers, parents, and school personnel to assess and make recommendations to the court regarding the child’s future.

Our CASA volunteer services include:

  • Recruitment, training, and ongoing support for CASA volunteers in Ottawa County
  • Regular meetings with foster children to build strong, supportive relationships
  • Comprehensive assessments of each child’s unique needs and circumstances
  • Collaboration with attorneys, social workers, parents, and school personnel to gather relevant information
  • Well-informed recommendations to the court regarding the child’s future, advocating for their best interests
